Subscriptions

In order to publish events and unlock the full capabilities of the platform, an active subscription is required. This guide explains how subscriptions work, what they include, and how to manage them.

Why you need a subscription?

Every subscription serves two purposes: it unlocks advanced features not available in lower tiers and enables you to publish your event.

By default, all events remain private. This allows you to set up, customize, and test your event without restrictions.

When you’re ready to go live and make your event public, an active subscription is required to publish it and make it visible to attendees.

For more details on publishing your events visit the dedicated help article at https://help.attendela.com/help/get-started/publishing-your-event.

Subscription plans

You can view and compare all available subscription plans at https://attendela.com/dashboard/subscription.

Each plan is designed to fit different needs — whether you're running a one-time event or managing multiple events throughout the year.

💡 Note: Regardless of the tier, all subscriptions allow you to publish events, you just need an active subscription, any subscription.

This is how the subscription page might look for you if you don't have any active subscriptions.

For every subscription we have active at any time, we are offering discounts if you choose to pay a year in advance rather than monthly. Please choose the one that suits you best and click on subscribe.

Once you chose the desired subscription and billing period, you will be asked to fill up a form containing invoicing details. This is needed in order to be able to send you an invoice. In case you already previously purchased a subscription with that account, then the billing data will be prefilled and you can update it if needed.

Once you confirm that everything is correct, hit the "Save and pay" button. This will redirect you to Stripe, our payment processor, which will handle all transactions securely.

After the payment is completed you will be redirected to the dashboard to continue using the platform.

14-Day money back guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your Attendela subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase. This applies to both monthly and yearly subscription plans.

If you are interested please review our refund policy to see if you are eligible at https://attendela.com/refund-policy and send us an email at contact@attendela.com.

Update billing data while subscription is active

When you start a subscription you are also filling up the billing details. You might later want to update any of these details without cancelling the subscription.

In order to do so visit the subscription page at https://attendela.com/dashboard/subscription and click on the "Update billing details" button. This will open a new window containing the already existing billing details. From here you can update the details and hit save.

After changing the billing details you can expect to receive future invoices with the new, updated details.

Updating a subscription

You might want to update your subscription without cancelling, either to select a new plan or simply to change the billing period from monthly to yearly or vice versa.

In order to do any of these visit the subscription page at https://attendela.com/dashboard/subscription and click on the "Update subscription" button.

This will redirect you to the Stripe hosted client portal to securely update your subscription.

Update billing period

Either if you choose monthly or yearly you might decide to switch to a different billing period. In order to do so, once you opened the Stripe billing portal as we previously discussed you must click on the blue "Update subscription" button.

Here you are going to be able to switch between "Monthly" and "Yearly".

Once you selected the new billing period, the "Continue" button will be enabled and you will be redirected to a payment page.

The payment page may vary depending on the cost of the new billing period you choose.

  • Upgrading Your Plan: If you switch to a more expensive billing period, you’ll be asked to pay the difference between the new cost and the remaining credit from your current subscription. For example, if you have 15 days left on your current plan, that time will be converted into credit and applied toward the new plan.
  • Downgrading Your Plan: If you switch to a less expensive billing period, the remaining time on your current subscription will also be converted into credit. If the credit value exceeds the cost of the new plan, you won’t be charged until your credit balance is used up.

Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel your subscription anytime. If you choose to do so, you are not going to be charged again at the end of the billing period, but you're still going to have full access to the platform until that point.

In order to cancel your subscription visit the subscription page at https://attendela.com/dashboard/subscription and click on the "Update subscription" button.

This will redirect you to the Stripe hosted client portal to securely update your subscription.

To cancel your subscription click the "Cancel subscription" button.

To finish the cancelation process click again on the "Cancel subscription" button.

What happens to my events if I cancel my subscription?

If you are still within the current billing cycle, meaning that your subscription is still active at this momement but pending cancellation, nothing will change, you will still have access to all the features and the ability to have public events and sell tickets.

Once you get to the end of the billing cycle, the subscription is going to be cancelled and you will lose access to the premium features. The event visibility status is not going to change in the dashboard (you are still going to see your events as "Public" or "Private") but nobody will be able to purchase tickets anymore, or access the page other than you (like it was before you subscribed). We choose to not update your event's visibility status because you might later want to subscribe again.

What if I change my mind and want to subscribe again?

The result of subscribing again can be different based on two cases.

  1. If your subscription is pending cancellation but you are still in your billing period, then you can just renew your subscription. This will incur no cost and it's essencially just "cancelling the cancelation".

In order to renew your subscription visit the subscription page at https://attendela.com/dashboard/subscription and click on the "Update subscription" button.

This will redirect you to the Stripe hosted client portal to securely update your subscription.

From here click on the "Renew subscription" button an then again click on "Renew subscription".

  1. If your subscription is already past your current billing period and thus cancelled, you can subscribe again like you previously did. You can consult this page for more details about how to start a new subscription.
